Child Safety Policy - What's the Vibe

At What's the Vibe, we are dedicated to creating a safe environment for all users on our platform, where people share real-time videos from bars and clubs to showcase the vibe to the world. We have a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and are committed to complying with Google Play’s Child Safety Standards policy and all applicable child safety laws. This policy outlines our measures to protect minors and ensure a safe user experience.

1. Standards Against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

We strictly prohibit any content or behavior that promotes, depicts, or facilitates child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). CSAM includes any visual content (videos, images, or computer-generated media) depicting minors in sexually explicit conduct. Our Community Guidelines explicitly ban:

  • Content that exploits or endangers minors.
  • Content promoting or depicting sexual abuse of children.
  • Any attempt to solicit or engage minors inappropriately.

Violations result in immediate content removal, account suspension or termination, and reporting to authorities, such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as required by law.

2. In-App Mechanism for User Feedback

What's the Vibe provides a straightforward in-app reporting feature to allow users to flag inappropriate content or behavior, including suspected CSAE. To report content:

  1. Tap the “Report” button next to any video or user profile.
  2. Select a reason, such as “Inappropriate Content” or “Suspected Child Safety Violation.”
  3. Submit the report for review by our moderation team.

Users can also email concerns directly to our support team at info@whats-the-vibe.app. We encourage prompt reporting to ensure swift action.

3. Addressing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

We take proactive and reactive measures to address CSAM on our platform:

  • Detection: We use automated tools and trained moderators to identify content that violates our CSAE policies.
  • Removal: Confirmed CSAM is removed immediately, and the responsible account is suspended or terminated.
  • Reporting: We report CSAM to relevant authorities, such as NCMEC, in compliance with legal obligations.

We continuously enhance our detection technologies to maintain a safe platform for all users.

4. Compliance with Child Safety Laws

What's the Vibe complies with all relevant child safety laws, including:

  • Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, governing the collection of personal information from children under 13.
  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union, protecting minors’ personal data.

Our app is designed for adult audiences (18+), as it focuses on bar and club environments. We implement age-gating during account creation to prevent minors from accessing the platform. Users must confirm they are 18 or older to register.
